Makenna starts school on Tuesday!

Just a couple more days and Makenna will be starting preschool on Tuesday! I am so excited that she will be going to a Montessori school and learning through that type of curriculum! Montessori students learn at their own pace and they learn through practical life skills rather than just listening, watching, and memorizing. They are not forced to sit and learn something that does not interest them. They learn by working. They teach not only math, art, and geography, but also housework and social skills. Its going to be perfect for Makenna! Some famous people who went to Montessori school include: Jackie Onassis, P.Diddy, Anne Frank, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com, Prince William and Harry, Julia Child, and the cofounders of google, Sergey Brin and Larry Page.

Today was open house for her school, and we got to visit her classrooms, teachers, classmates and parents! Everyone is so nice and I just know Makenna is going to love it!
