Date night and the dentist....

Mike and I had a nice date night Friday night! We went to a place thats right outside our subdivision, Two Friends, and it was really great! We really needed a night out :)




I had the seared ahi tuna with asparagas..


This was marinara sauce with goat cheese. It was DELICIOSO!!!!

Today Shane had a dentist appointment!!
Before it all ... So happy :)

Actually he did REALLY great!! He cried a little but didn't fight it too much! And the best part?! No new cavities!!! I was really shocked since he is so hard to get his teeth brushed!

Update on Shane

We drove to Macon, GA today for another attempt at Shane's MRI. Poor thing couldn't eat or drink anything since 6am and his MRI was in the afternoon. He did really great though. He barely cried, only after they put the I.V in and he was so good the rest of the time. The MRI took about 45 minutes and then we had to wait till Shane woke up from the anesthesia before we could go home. We finally got home around 7:30 this evening. We go back to see his Neurologist at 8am tomorrow morning to redo his EEG and followup with his doctor. Long and tiring day!! Will definitely updated when we hear more news!

FridayNightLights...

This past Friday, Mike, Kevin and I took the kids to the Valdosta High Wildcats football game. It was tons of fun, and Makenna and Shane had a blast!

nothing really new...

Sorry for the lack of updates! We have pretty much been doing the same. Oh I guess for Labor Day weekend we had our friends over for a visit, which was nice. We took them to Wild Adventures and we all had a blast. Of course I forgot the camera once again!!

September will be a busy month for Shane, poor guy! Next Tuesday, we have to take him to Macon to get his MRI done and he will have to be sedated. Then he has his dentist appointment a week after that, then the end of the month he has his EEG scheduled, which he will have to be sedated for also!! We are not looking forward to any of those! HOpefully October will be a better month!

I'm sorry its been so long since I've blogged. I have been recovering from Jet lag and a cough/sore throat.
I had so much fun in Hawaii. Most of my trip was a blur. It went by so fast. I so wish Mike and the kids were with me. My cousin Cassie's wedding was perfect. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to!! I am reposting these from my sister's blog:

This past Saturday, I took the kids to a goat cheese farm, Sweet Grass Dairy. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera!!! We left pretty early, 7:30 am, so I was pretty tired. Makenna got to milk a goat! She thought it was pretty funny. Shane almost did it too, but he just petted the goats.

I leave this Friday for Cassie's wedding!! I am really excited. Not looking forward to the long plane rides, but can't wait to see all my cousins, aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews!! Will definitely be taking pictures then!!

First day of School!!!!

I have the morning free!! Wow, I don't know what to do with myself! Here are some pics!

Its hard to think of titles...

Yesterday morning, I took the kids to a Zumba dance class, hosted by the playgroup I am in, and we had soo much fun! Zumba is a type of Latin style dance aerobics, and I have been doing it for the last couple months, so I was very excited when my playgroup created a class for all the kids. Makenna had fun doing it, and she was pretty good!!! Shane, I'm not too sure LOL. He liked it when I carried him while dancing. Here are a few pics:

Mike went out last night to a party so I had a girls game night with a couple friends! Makenna helped me make dessert, a strawberry creamcheese trifle. It was so yummy and easy!


All the ingredients: Poundcake, chocolate chips, strawberries, cool whip, cheescake pudding, and cream cheese.

then the next layer pudding cream!... I mixed cheesecake pudding with cool whip and I also added a little extra cream cheese for a more cheesecake flavor.

This morning Shane was scheduled for an MRI, requested from his neurologist. Unfortunately, he was too fidgety to keep still during the exam, so we have to reschedule for another date, in Macon, where they will have to sedate him. The doc told me to keep him up late last night, which I did till about midnight, AND he was also prescribed a small dose of xanax!! He did do pretty well, during the appointment, was very sweet and didn't cry at all, but he needed to be completely still which was impossible unless he was sleeping.

Tomorrow is Makenna's school orientation and we get to meet Makenna's new Kindergarten teacher! I am so excited!! They both officially start back next Monday! Then on Tuesday they will have to miss school because we have to go to Atlanta for Shane's annual appointment at the Marcus Autism Center.
