This past weekend, we did the Air Show on Base… Mike worked the static display, and Shane ablsolutely LOVED watching the planes!

Sorry for the lack of updates, sometimes I forget I have a blog!

Halloween 2010. Mike was on a TDY unfortunately, so he didn't spend it with us this year. My friends Andrea and Ricardo and their sweet twins Aubrey and Andrew came up for a visit from Colorado though!!! We all had such a blast, and Makenna absolutely loved seeing the twins again!!! The last time I'd seen them was 2 years ago, but the kids played like they never left eachother! It was great!

Valdosta celebrated Halloween the day before, on Saturday. First, we went to St. John's Fall Festival. I volunteered at the Sweet Shop selling baked goods for an hour. It was fun! I also won a raffle basket worth about 250 dollars! That was cool and unexpected....It was the exercise themed basket which contained all kinds of stuff from an Ipod Shuffle to a yoga mat to dumbells, etc, so it was perfect for me!

Makenna had a total blast Trick or Treating. She absolutely LOVES Cinderella and couldn't wait to dress up as her, and was excited that I dressed as the Fairy Godmother! Shane was a little Firefighter. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a really good picture of him, he wouldn't wear the hat, and fell asleep after only a couple houses!!!

Birthday Boy!

Its so hard for me to believe I had Shane 4 years ago!! We had a small, simple, easy party this year, just a few friends, and Janell's hubby even drove down from Panama city, which was great! Here are a few pics!

I am sick, Shane is sick...and I haven't updated in a while! Something about Georgia just doesn't agree with me I guess. I am always sick here!

Lots of things happening in October, its such a busy month, and I'll be taking lots of pictures. Tomorrow is Makenna's Investiture ceremony, where she will officially become a Girl Scout Daisy! Friday, I will be taking cupcakes to school for Shane's 4th Birthday!!! I can't BELIEVE he will be 4 in a couple of days! We are celebrating on Saturday, having a few friends over for lunch. Janell's hubby Jamie is even coming down! (he is in Panama City for a while). Here is a blast from the past, a picture from his FIRST birthday!

Our anniversary was spent here at home, we took the kids to a birthday party at the Y M C A gymnastics:

We ate at this cute restaurant called Mangos right near the beach...It was great!... Mike had teriyaki chicken and was presented with this:

Wish we had more time to spend in Saint Augustine! Its a cute town and there seems to be a lot to do. Makenna was fascinated with the castle. Hopefully we can take another trip down there soon!

More Surfer's for Autism pictures!! The rest of them are on my Facebook page. I hope we get to do this again soon! It was such a wonderful, rewarding experience!! I was so proud of Shane and proud of Mike for volunteering!

Wednesday Weirdness...

This has been my breakfast lately... Overnight oats and an organic apple! I soak raw oatmeal in vanilla almond milk overnight, and add some chocolate protein powder. The next morning I swirl some raw organic almond butter in it and top it with cacao nibs. Its sooo yummy!! LOL you probably don't care what I eat for breakfast, but I run out of blog ideas!

Date night and the dentist....

Mike and I had a nice date night Friday night! We went to a place thats right outside our subdivision, Two Friends, and it was really great! We really needed a night out :)




I had the seared ahi tuna with asparagas..


This was marinara sauce with goat cheese. It was DELICIOSO!!!!

Today Shane had a dentist appointment!!
Before it all ... So happy :)

Actually he did REALLY great!! He cried a little but didn't fight it too much! And the best part?! No new cavities!!! I was really shocked since he is so hard to get his teeth brushed!

Update on Shane

We drove to Macon, GA today for another attempt at Shane's MRI. Poor thing couldn't eat or drink anything since 6am and his MRI was in the afternoon. He did really great though. He barely cried, only after they put the I.V in and he was so good the rest of the time. The MRI took about 45 minutes and then we had to wait till Shane woke up from the anesthesia before we could go home. We finally got home around 7:30 this evening. We go back to see his Neurologist at 8am tomorrow morning to redo his EEG and followup with his doctor. Long and tiring day!! Will definitely updated when we hear more news!

FridayNightLights...

This past Friday, Mike, Kevin and I took the kids to the Valdosta High Wildcats football game. It was tons of fun, and Makenna and Shane had a blast!

nothing really new...

Sorry for the lack of updates! We have pretty much been doing the same. Oh I guess for Labor Day weekend we had our friends over for a visit, which was nice. We took them to Wild Adventures and we all had a blast. Of course I forgot the camera once again!!

September will be a busy month for Shane, poor guy! Next Tuesday, we have to take him to Macon to get his MRI done and he will have to be sedated. Then he has his dentist appointment a week after that, then the end of the month he has his EEG scheduled, which he will have to be sedated for also!! We are not looking forward to any of those! HOpefully October will be a better month!
