I forgot to mention that Shane started school this past Wednesday. It was very hard, on both of us!! He cried a lot when I left him and it broke my heart. Makenna was so much easier! I hope it gets easier for him, I know he had a hard first day. He's only gone once so far ( he has classes on Mon and Wed) So next week will be his second time and I PRAY it will just be easier!

Sneak Peek!

Here's a sneak peek at what Makenna and Shane will be for Halloween! Picture was taken at a fall festival. Sorry Haven't updated much in the last week, Shane and I were sick, so he was not able to start school yet. He should be starting tomorrow, and I hope it goes ok.

Shane's 3 Year Birthday Party Pics!

Shane's San Diego Chargers Themed birthday party turned out great! There were so many people that showed up for Shane, it was great to see so many friends. It did start out pretty stressful though! The night before the party, at 10 pm, Mike got called in to do a real life search and rescue of a missing pilot in SC. So he had to leave and was gone overnight! He didn't get any sleep and we weren't sure when he would be home, so I was thinking he was gonna miss the party. He ended up being gone till 1:30 pm, half hour before the party started! He was a trooper though, and had fun at the party!

I was stressed because that morning he was supposed to pick up the tables and chairs we had rented from base, for the party. I was thinking we'd have no place for our guests to sit! Luckily I had a great friend who offered to help pick them out. So everything worked out in the end!

Update on Shane

When Shane turns 3 next week, he will be done with early intervention services, and transitioning over to the school system. Yesterday we went to the school he will be going to and met his new teacher. He seemed to really like the classroom and the teacher is so nice. Its hard to believe he will be going to school! We are only starting him off with 2 days a week though, Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 - 11:30. I hope it works out with dropping off Makenna at school too. Its gonna be hard to bring both kids to two different schools in the morning! Makenna doesn't start till 9, so luckily I will be able to do it. In addition to school, he has ABA therapy on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and every other Thursday and Speech and OT Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also take him to a Mommy and Me tumbling class every other week which he LOVES! So he starts school in less than 2 weeks!

10 years!

Mike and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary yesterday! It was a great day! We went out to lunch at a Japanese restaurant, then dinner at a nice American restaurant. I had fried green tomatoes for the first time and they were really good! Mike also surprised me with a gorgeous ring! I was SOOOO happily surprised!



We also got an AMAZING gift from Bob and Rita:

And Rita made this GORGEOUS quilt, with my two favorite colors! I LOVE it soo much! Mike was happy too because they are Chargers colors ;)
